Sarah, Canada, Mountain Trike Canada

Hello Bob!
Hope you are well.
We had our first real day out today with the Trike and it was awesome!
First I had it set to push and we walked down to the river trail near our house and walked. It was fantastic going up and down the bank and great on the ice as well.
When we returned home, I quickly converted it to the MT and Faith gave it a whirl! I think she did pretty good for her first try. We will have to work on steering 🙂.
Have a Blessed weekend!

“There is nothing else in the world that has the design features I was looking for and the versatility of the mountain trike.”

I have always been an adventurous person. I broke my back dirt biking one year ago and i honestly thought my adventurous days of exploring trails and being in the outdoors were over.

I discovered the mountain trike while researching off road wheelchairs while in hospital and rehab. There is nothing else in the world that has the design features i was looking for and the versatility of the mountain trike.

We live in British Columbia Canada on Vancouver Island, there is so many trails and scenic locations that a regular wheelchair could not get to, since my trike has arrived me and my family are able to go out and explore the wilderness together.

My fitness has improved greatly since I’ve been using my trike, it exercises a whole different group of muscles compared to pushing a standard wheelchair. My chest and shoulders have strengthened a lot and i have only had my trike for a few months, i also have to mention it is a lot of fun, while in the tight trails i get small doses of the adrenaline rush i used to be so addicted too.

Thanks mountain trike!

T J Woosley, USA, Mountain Trike

I wanted to let you know how my Mountain Trike has impacted my life since I got it last April.I have used it around my area (Bellevue, WA, USA) quite a bit. My friend Stan Perkins and I are training for a “lake to lake” ride between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish (about 7 miles). He pushes me up hills when I need it!

With my Mountain Trike I’ve been on trails, through parks, in museums, airports and all over the place. I keep it in the back of my GMC Yukon and pull it out whenever a ride is in order. And I’ve taken it on a number of flights. So far, by either vehicle or plane, I’ve had it in Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona and most recently to Panama City, Panama. This summer it will go with me to Washington D.C. and then later to Europe (Budapest, etc.).

I get stopped by all kinds of folks with comments like “That’s the coolest wheelchair I’ve ever seen!”, “Wow – what a piece of engineering!”, “Way to get out and enjoy nature”. I’m proud to tell people about it and give the cards away.

Julie Sawchuk, Canada, Mountain Trike Canada

Julie Sawchuk from Canada, lived a very active life – for two and a half years she trained as a triathlete – swim-bike-run. She worked as a high school biology teacher and enjoyed the outdoor life with her husband and two young children. In July 2015 her life changed forever – she was out training on her bike when she was hit by a car. She suffered severe injuries and damage to multiple systems – fractured skull, shattered T4 and burst L1 vertebrae, broken ribs, nose – to name a few.

Julie’s determination and athletic drive is what keeps her going.
